Hewitt has appeared in front of the camera since she was nine years old, when she joined a Show Team in Texas, which was a dance team that traveled to Russia and Denmark. At age ten, she became an international spokesperson for LA Gear shoes. After that, she starred in commercials for Mattel toys. From 1989 to 1991 Hewitt starred as Robin on the Kids INC show. In 1991, she appeared in a Barbie dance workout video, and in 1992 she acted in the movie Munchies. Also in 1992, she released her first CD, which is called Love Songs and only came to Japan. In 1993, she appeared in the movie Sister Act and in 1994 she landed the role of Franny Byrd in the hit television show Byrds of Paradise. The following year, she released her second album called Lets Go Bang, which came to stores all over America. In the same year, Hewitt landed the role of Sarah on the hit show Party of Five, which ultimately helped catapult her to super-stardom. In 1996, she played Brooke Figler in the movie House Arrest. In the same year, she released her third album, which was the self-titled "Jennifer Love Hewitt." In 1997, she starred in Trojan War as Leah, but her big break in the movie industry came when she co-starred in the hit movie I Know What You Did Last Summer during the same year. She joined other talented actors and actresses such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillipe, and Freddie Prinze Jr. In 1997, she also starred in the movie Can't Hardly Wait with Ethan Embry. After a very successful year in the movie business, she followed up with a good 1998 when she co-starred in the popular sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. In the second outing, she co-starred with Brandy, Mekhi Phifer and Freddie Prinze Jr. In the near future she will release a movie called Love Story, which she wrote. She is also going to lend her voice as Thumbelina in the animated movie, The Adventures of Thumbelina. The spin-off of Party of Five, titled Time Of Your Life, aired on Fox for a limited time until the network cancelled it because of a lack of popularity. Hewitt was cast as Audrey Hepburn in the TV miniseries about the actress. She has also started her own production company, Love Spell Productions, which has a few movies awaiting production. Jennifer Love Hewitt continually makes the top five on every list of most popular actresses or best looking actresses, including Premiere magazine's declaration in September that she is the third most popular actress on the net. Her fame and popularity will continue to grow, but she will remain a nice girl with a clean image, unlike many of the actresses in modern Hollywood. Her innocence and charm are refreshing amidst an increasingly corrupt industry http://www.jlh-online.com/pages/biography.shtml |
